Finlake was beautiful, I would really recommend it. I was here for a romantic birthday getaway and it was the best birthday I have had. I will definitely be returning with friends next time. It's a fantastic location for a bit of shopping in Exeter and there is so much to do on site.

Fantastic weekend break, totally what we needed. Peace & quiet, only the birds could be heard. Private hot tub was a lovely extra. Would recommend this location to anyone who would like a quiet laid back break.

The location was excellent, just a short drive to Dartmoor and other local attractions. The activities were very good for teenagers, the Tree Tops was great fun and not too expensive for an activity like that. The fishing was great, park was so big we actually got lost going for a walk in the woods.

Finlake was a lovely relaxing family holiday very suitable for families and couples. We have children aged 7 and 10 who took part in the pool activities and as a family we experienced the tree tops course. These activities were fantastic and great value for money. Our lodge which was in Deerpark. A Country 4 VIP, was very clean and really nicely furnished, very well equipped and a great location. The hot tub was a really nice bonus. The staff very friendly and helpful. The walk around the lake and through the forest was lovely. Finlake is so close to many parks and the rocks at Haytor on the Moors was a lovely walk and only a 15 mins drive away. We didn't want to come home we had such a nice time and we will definitely be returning to Finlake.

We had a lovely time from the moment we stepped through the door we both agreed we have never felt so relaxed from a long weekend. We had a problem (or so we thought) with our TV in the bedroom so when the maintenance men arrived and showed me were the on switch was!... we were well away and they were really nice and friendly guys. The decor was lovely and we felt so comfortable. It really was a lovely holiday.

This holiday would be suitable for people of all ages - so much so that we are considering going back to Finlake with the whole family (4 generations) later in the year! It is a fantastic central base to explore the area with plenty to do out and about and also on site. The spa is a lovely idea and a must if you want a bit of pampering, and if you want a bit of luxury definitely go for the hot tub - it really made our holiday.

We found it a very chilled out place, it was very relaxing. The staff were very helpful with places to visit outside the site, and good instructions of how to get there were given. It is also situated in a lovely area with lots of scenery, ideal for dogs as well.

An excellent child-friendly holiday with good facilities. Accommodation was excellent, we stayed in a Country 4 Platinum Plus which meant we had a hot tub which we all thoroughly enjoyed. Most of the extra paid activities are aimed at over 5s but we were able to pacify our active 3 year old with swimming, horse riding and cycling. Cycling at the nearby Haldon Forest was fab - we didn't get to do all we wanted to do so would definitely go back again in the future. The low key led family entertainment on 3 evenings a week was a plus if you have youngsters with sparkly shoes and like to dance to disco classics!

This was a relaxing very scenic honeymoon that we booked last minute and we are extremely glad we did. The site and staff were lovely, the accommodation standard exceptional, a well maintained private hot tub, on site activities plentiful and we were lucky enough to have beautiful weather. The on site restaurant food standard was high and it was the best rump steak we had tasted for a long while! Thank you for a lovely break and memorable honeymoon.

This was an absolutely fantastic holiday, so much so we are writing this review hours after getting home! This was our first holiday both with a 5 month old baby and in England and it surpassed all of our expectations. The accommodation was superb and had all of the facilities we cold have wished for, just like a home from home. The hot tub was very relaxing and highly recommended. There was plenty to do on the site, so much so we didn't even leave it some days. My husband used the gym every day and we took our baby son swimming for the first time which he loved! It was a perfect location as well, a good base for exploring Torquay, the zoo and Dartmoor. We were very impressed with Finlake and will certainly be returning again. Thank you for a fantastic first family holiday!!!

Our family had a great weekend at Finlake. The staff on reception were excellent and very helpful, making us feel welcome. On entering our accommodation it was that clean and fresh it made us feel like we were the first people to use it - a real credit to the cleaners! The hot tub was fab and checked daily, and the kids didn't want to get out of it. The entertainment for the kids was fab, and the bar staff were very friendly. We used both pool and the adventure park during our stay and overall have no negative comments. We will definitely be back and have recommended it to friends and family.

Finlake was a brilliant location, with lots to do on site (even in November). We enjoyed our woodland walk with our toddler, who was also very impressed with the playpark. We didnt get to use the indoor pool as we all had colds, which was a shame as that was part of the original appeal. I can see that in the summer this would also be an amazing place to visit. Our highlight was having a hot tub, something you can still use in November, despite the weather!

Finlake was ideal for our requirements. A fairly quiet park with lots of amenities, indoor and outdoor pools and a sauna and a gym. The restaurant produced a good selection of dishes and the service was great. The accommodation was all we could have wished for, and like everybody else the 'hot tub' experience was delightful after a long days sight-seeing.

What a wonderful place, and all the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. The park is lovely and clean and there is plenty to do. Don't let our British weather put you off the idea of holidaying in Devon, we encountered many days of rain during our week yet we still managed to have a fun packed holiday. A big plus was the hot tub, we used it every day come rain or shine. The accommodation was excellent, packed with lots of little things that you wouldn't normally find in a holiday let, like books, board games, DVDs and a flat screen TV. The quality of food in the retreat bar/restaurant was fantastic and good value for money. A recommended day out is "Go Ape" just up the road at Haldon Forest Park, it is not for the faint hearted but was tremendous fun and well worth the money. All in all a holiday we would definitely repeat and suggest others try too.

We stayed in the Country Four plus hot tub and were very impressed with the size of the accommodation, quality of the interior and the extensive decking outside. The information pack inside our accommodation was by far the best ever in 18 years of similar holidays. There was also a range of games and newish books to suit all tastes.
